I did another block today. We'll see if this one helps better than the one in June.

I hope everyone has a good weekend!!

I’ve noticed something about my blocks. When a block is unsuccessful, the day of, after the anesthesia wears off, my foot and leg KILL me. But, when a block seems to help, after the anesthesia wears off, my leg never hurts. Any thoughts?

yeah i have a thought.....wait i think it do.....where'd i put that darn thought....ahh yes here it is....*phew, blows the dust off*

uhm rsd and needles DO NOT MIX well....which i know makes one wonder then why a block is administered via a needle lol. anyhow, IF the block is unsuccessful....then when the local ansesthetic wears off...the aggrivatioin caused by the needle comes crashing down on ya like a ton of briks on fire....

when the block works....and the anesthetic wears off....well then you don't feel it as the block is working....an then the block slowly wears off and your body slowly adjusts again.

Jason,

That was a gosh darn good thought you found there! Your thought makes perfect sense.

I go for a follow up Friday. I'm going to tell the doc what I've discovered and see what kind of a snotty answer I get. Smile
