silver member Joined: 04 Feb 2009 Posts: 56 Location: New York	Posted: Mon Dec 14, 2009 8:51 pm    Post subject: Poem: Reaching for the Stars   Reaching for the Stars 12-14-09 by Denise No one will ever feel the pain deep inside Sinking deeper to the dark place, I often hide Its gravitational pull sucks me right in Complete loss of control, surrounded by sin Screaming in silence, always feeling so ashamed Abandoned and lost there is no one to blame If I am constantly blinded by anger, how will I see? Where this journey is leading, the path before me Life evades meaning, disillusioned thoughts each day My faith escapes meaning and I no longer pray Surrounded and sinking in pools of self hate I am engorged with guilt, bitten by fate Failing and succumbing to this torturous pain My focus is distorted, I am going insane Mind, body and soul weathered by the stormy night Barely breathing but alive and putting up a fight The victory of this battle is still undecided One more day completed, His Majesty I finally confided Reaching for the stars, fearing falling apart The Spirit was energized and emotions encompassed the heart Trusting I am stronger because He carried me through the flames But always knowing physically this vessel will never be the same Always count your blessings, so many do say For the past and our futures are kept astray _________________ Friendship and Hugs, Denise "Coming together is a beginning.
